York Catholic schools celebrate Earth Month

April is Earth Month. This year, April 22, 2020 also marks the 50th anniversary of Earth Day. Students and staff across York Catholic celebrated our planet earth by promoting ways to protect it through live-demonstrations, artwork, cleaning up their neighbourhood and more.

Students at in Woodbridge demonstrated their tips on how to protect planet Earth, from conserving water as we brush our teeth, to recycling and more!

Students at in Aurora discussed the importance of the ocean, headed outdoors to do a natural material hunt and sort their findings. They then turned their treasures into a creative piece!

Two students and siblings, Lucas and Isabella, missed their school so much, they created a sign and posted it on their school for their friends to see.
