Catholic Education Week

Each year, the 丝瓜视频下载 (丝瓜视频下载) looks forward to celebrating students, staff and community members鈥 achievements with events and activities throughout Catholic Education Week. This year, as a result of the public school closures due to COVID-19, York Catholic will continue its tradition by moving these celebrations online from May 3 to 10, and beyond!

The theme for this years鈥 celebration is Igniting Hope. Throughout this week, York Catholic will honour public education, its Catholic faith and become messengers of hope by sharing their inspiring stories. To view these stories, follow , and on Twitter.

Grade 3 students at in King City, celebrated Catholic Education Week through many forms of art. Students shared what Igniting Hope means to them through word art, poems, drawings and more.

Ms. Caramanna and Ms. Dissanayake鈥檚 class presents the meaning behind cherry blossoms. Every year during this time, many celebrate the beloved tradition of going to High Park to catch a glimpse of the beautiful cherry blossom trees. These trees were donated by the Japanese Ambassador in 1959 as a gift to the citizens of Toronto for their support of Japanese- Canadian refugees after World War II. This year鈥檚 theme, 鈥淚gniting the Hope鈥 is most appropriate as we as Christians are called upon more than ever to provide love, hope and support to our communities and the world.
