The 丝瓜视频下载 congratulates the Math Department and their students on several recent achievements that led to them being recognized by the University of Waterloo!
Ernest Wong, Grade 12 IB student at the Markham school received the Faculty of Mathematics National Scholarship worth $25,000. Ernest was also awarded with an Honourable Mention at the 2021 Euclid Contest.
Wong, along with his math team members Harry Chen, Timothy Du, Morgan Lin, Raymond Wu, and Sam Zhang, achieved 1st place finish in the 2021 Canadian Team Mathematics Competition this spring! The CTMC@Waterloo tournament paved the way so that a team from St. Robert CHS can compete again in the next CTMC@Waterloo tournament in the spring of 2022.
Four Grade 11 students, Shengsheng Fan, Sam Tang, Yulai Duan, and Kevin Wang each received $1,000 Faculty of Mathematics Promissory Scholarships based on their outstanding performances on the 2020 Canadian Senior Mathematics Contest, 2021 Fermat Contest and the 2021 Euclid contest. The four students were also invited to attend the 7th annual Exploring Mathematics and Computer Science Workshop which will be held from July 5-6, 2021.

Earlier this year, four other students, Jason Chen, Harry Chen, Sarah Peng and Ivy Zhang were selected to participate in the 56th annual Lloyd Auckland Invitational Mathematics Workshop due to their outstanding achievements from the 2021 Fermat Contest.
鈥淭he workshop was actually really interesting,鈥� said Ivy.聽 鈥淭he聽math concepts they taught were a bit challenging but really interesting as well, and I got聽to meet a聽lot of students from all聽around Canada too. There were also socials held every night including an Escape Room which was super cool!鈥� The 丝瓜视频下载 is very proud of these math students and wish the St. Robert math department the best of luck at these maths competitions next year!
