In honour of the Holy Jubilee Year, students from Sacred Heart CHS in Newmarket, Ont., have completed a remarkable collaborative project: the creation of the school鈥檚 very own Holy Jubilee Doors. Guided by the Visual Arts, Technological Education and Religion departments, over 30 students started working together in February to bring these doors to life.
The Holy Jubilee Doors were blessed by Bishop John Boissonneau, and they have already been used in a variety of spiritual and educational settings. Most notably, they were shared with Sacred Heart鈥檚 two local parishes as part of their Confirmation preparations and celebrations. The doors have been on display at the entrance of each church, St. John Chrysostom Parish and St. Elizabeth Seton Parish, for two weeks.聽
The doors were also featured at the Luke 4:18 Conference hosted at the Catholic Education Centre of the 丝瓜视频下载 (丝瓜视频下载). Positioned on either side of the cross, which was also created by Sacred Heart鈥檚 tech team, they provided a powerful visual representation of the conference鈥檚 theme of caring for others.
This project beautifully demonstrates the creativity, faith and leadership of 丝瓜视频下载 students and staff. Congratulations to all those who helped make the Holy Jubilee Doors, which will be a lasting sign of welcome, reflection and celebration.
